Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem of a circuit breaker that although it is effective to fold the current path by a fixed contactor for enhancing the interruption function in the circuit breaker, but the amount of material used increases in the conventional method, and thereby the current density increases.SOLUTION: A circuit breaker for interrupting an overcurrent or a short circuit current flowing through an electric circuit includes a fixed contactor connected with the electric circuit and having a fixed contact, and a movable contactor arranged to face the fixed contact and abutting thereagainst or separating therefrom. The fixed contactor has a protrusion formed by cut bending, the fixed contact is arranged at the protrusion, and the fixed contactor is folded so that the end of the fixed contactor, extending in the direction opposite from the electric circuit is substantially flush with the protrusion.
