PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker having stable characteristics.SOLUTION: A circuit breaker 1 has three stationary contacts 17 fixed to a housing main body 11, and three movable contacts 18 which are brought into contact with and separated from the stationary contact 17 by an opening/closing mechanism 30. A handle 32 is freely rotatably supported on a frame 31 of the opening/closing mechanism 30. The handle 32 is joined to one end of a lever 34 through a rink 33, and a fitting projection 34e is formed at the other end of the lever 34. The fitting projection 34e is fitted to a positioning portion 36f of a latch plate 36 which is freely turnably supported on the frame 31. A movable frame 35 in which the plural movable contacts 18 are inserted and locked is pressed by a movable pin 45 inserted in a shaft groove formed at the center of the lever 34 in a direction along which the movable contacts 18 come into contact with the stationary contacts 17. The movable frame 35 is urged by a movable spring interposed between the movable frame 35 and the housing main body 11 in a direction along which the movable contacts 18 are separated from the stationary contacts 17.
