Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker of such a structure that a U-shaped part is formed in a main circuit conductor and a current sensing means of an over-current trip part is installed between the two legs of the U-shape, in which a current transformer for power supply of the over-current trip part is installed compactly and the output therefrom is enlarged.
SOLUTION: A current transformer 2 for a power supply is configured from a secondary coil 6 installed between two legs 1a, 1b of the U-shaped part of a main circuit conductor 1 and a core 7 equipped with a core leg 7a penetrating the coil and yokes 7b, 7c surrounding the legs 1a, 1b of the U-shape, and a current sensing means 3 is supported by this current transformer 2. Thereby the current transformer 2 is installed compactly inside the main circuit conductor 1, and the magnetic flux of the main circuit current flowing in the legs 1a, 1b is increased double to act on the secondary coil 6, and a large output from power supply is obtained even in a micro-region of the main circuit current.
