Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly perform each operation of closing and opening of a movable contact element to a fixed contact element at a higher speed and simplify and expedite the manufacture of a device in a gas-blast circuit breaker for performing the closing and opening in an insulating gas.
SOLUTION: A fixed contact part formed by mounting an arc resisting alloy on the tip of an optional one of a plurality of fixed contact elements 11 and a movable contact part 2 consisting of a movable contact element 21 are housed in a case body 3. When the movable contact part 2 is rotated with a main spindle 6 as a fulcrum to close the movable contact element 21 to the fixed contact element 11, the electromagnetic repelling force caused so as to prevent the closing can be reduced by a heavy current. Further, the manufacturing cost of the fixed contact part 1 can be reduced, and each operation of input and opening in a large capacity cable path can be surely performed at a higher speed.
