PURPOSE: To eliminate the uncertainty for the fall of an opening spring, stabilize the position of the opening spring even during the opening and closing action of a breaker, and steady pressing and tripping loads by previously assembling the opening spring in a movable contact piece before integrating the movable contact piece in a base.
CONSTITUTION: A protruded part 5a is formed on the belly surface of a movable contact piece 5A by burring, an end turn of 1-3 windings is applied to the both ends of an opening spring 21A composed of a compression coil spring, and a coil end part is made able to be pressed in and fixed to a protruded part 5a by setting the coil internal diameter to be slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the protruded part 5a. Then one end part of the spring 21A is pressed in and fixed to the part 5a of the piece 5A, and this unit is integrated in a base 1. The action of the piece 5A becomes sure since the spring 21A, one end part of which is fixed to the recessed part 1b provided on the insulation base 1, exists, even a contact 6 is separated from a fixed contact 4 on a fixed contact piece 2 using an automatic tripping device 17, by providing a movable contact 6 on one side on the lower face of an end part and a flexible copper stranded wire 18 on the other side as usual in this unit.
