Abstract:
This circuit breaker (10) opens a contact part (11) composed of a fixed contact (48a) and a movable contact when a short-circuit current of a load and a power supply is detected. The circuit breaker (10) comprises: an arc extinguishing grid (82) which interrupts an arc that occurs when the contact part (11) is opened; and a coil unit (40). The coil unit (40) comprises: a coil (41) for detecting a short-circuit current; a first terminal (47) to which one end section of the coil (41) is connected; and a second terminal (48) to which the other end of the coil (41) is connected and which includes a fixed contact (48a). The first terminal (47) comprises: a terminal part (47a) connected to an external circuit; and an arc traveling part (47b) disposed facing the arc extinguishing grid (82).
