Title:
CIRCUIT DEVICE FOR OPERTING LOW VOLTAGE DISCHARGE LAMP WITH HIGH FREQUENCY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02227998
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To interrupt heating of a positive characteristic thermistor after ignition of an arc, by disconnecting the positive characteristic thermistor through a relay from this circuit device, and simultaneously using the thermistor as a control timing element of this relay. CONSTITUTION: In series to a resonance capacitor C3, a switch S of a positive characteristic thermistor KL and a relay RL is connected in a heating circuit. In parallel to the positive characteristic thermistor KL and in parallel to the switch S, a relay rectifier GL is connected to an AC current input side thereof, further in a line, a capacitor C4 is connected. A DC current output side of the relay rectifier GL is connected to the relay RL. Accordingly, in the positive characteristic thermistor KL, after preliminary heating time, the capacitor C4 for a transfer to a condition of high ohm is charged, in the end when an output of the relay rectifier GL leads to switching voltage, the switch S is opened by the relay. In this way, a lamp LP is arc lighted, the positive characteristic thermistor KL is disconnected.
