Abstract:
To improve beam extraction efficiency in a circular accelerator that accelerates positively charged ions using a static main magnetic field.SOLUTION: In a circular accelerator 1004 with a pair of magnetic poles 8 and 9 arranged symmetrically with respect to an intermediate plane 2, an incident axis 12 passing through the center of an ion incident device 1003 located in a region between magnetic poles 8 and 9 and perpendicular to the intermediate plane 2, and a central axis 13 passing through the center of the circular accelerator 1004 and perpendicular to the intermediate plane 2 are different in phase, the entrance of an exit channel 1019 is located on the same side as the central axis 13 with respect to the plane 15 including the incident axis 12 and perpendicular to a plane 3 including the incident axis 12 and the central axis 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
