To provide a circular metal cord without causing the slack of twists even against a continued and repeated load and capable of maintaining a wound form, an endless metal belt and a method for producing the circular metal cord.

The circular metal cord C1 is provided by untwisting an original cord 20 obtained by twisting at least 5 pieces of strand materials 1, while making one piece of the strand material 1 as circular, fitting-in a surplus length part 1e to a spiral empty gap part 5 from which the other strand materials 1 are removed, to wind and make a circular form, entering a position 1c where the both terminals 1a, 1b are crossed and wound with each other, into a hollow part C1a formed at the winding center of the strand materials 1 and further housing the surplus length parts of the both terminals 1a, 1b into the hollow part C1a.
