Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make the primary horn used in a BS antenna small-sized and light-weight without degrading the performance.
CONSTITUTION: A parasitic element 33 which converts a circularly polarized wave to a linearly polarized wave is provided in a conical horn 11, and a short- circuit plate 2 is arranged a prescribed length apart from this element 33. This short-circuit plate 3 is provided on an attaching wall face 55 which connects the conical horn 11 and a rectangular waveguide 12 and is provided with a slit. This slit extracts only the linearly polarized wave component to propagate the linear polarized wave component in the rectangular waveguide 12. A probe 53 is inserted into the rectangular waveguide 12, and the BS signal received by the probe 53 is converted to an intermediate frequency signal by a converter built in an RF substrate 54.
