To provide a circulating fluidized bed furnace and a circulating fluidized bed boiler possible to stabilize the burning condition inside of the furnace even in a case of burning the wet material.
This circulating fluidized bed furnace is provided with a riser 1 provided with a columnar space inside thereof, a connector piping 3 connected to an upper part of the riser 1 at one end thereof, and a down-commer 2 connected to the other end of the connector piping 3 and a lower part of the riser 1. An object is burned and/or processed with gas in the space, while raising the fluid medium from a lower part of the space provided in the riser 1 to an upper part thereof, and returning the fluid medium, reaching the upper part of the space to the lower part of the space through the connector piping 3 and the down-commer 2. A top part of the space provided in the riser 1 is higher by 200 mm or more than the upper end of an opening provided in the connector piping 3 at a riser 1 side thereof. The circulating fluidized bed furnace having excellent combustion stability is thereby obtained.
