Abstract:

To attain high-temperature, high-efficiency combustion by reducing NOx or N2O concentrations in combustion exhaust gas which affect the environment and suppressing ash fusion.

In this method, circulating fluidized bed combustion is separated to three steps of gasification of solid fuel by thermal decomposition, combustion of char resulted therefrom, and combustion of the gasified gas. The char of the solid fuel supplied from a gasifying furnace 10 for gasifying the solid fuel is burnt in a lower part of a combustion furnace 20 while supplying an oxidizer, and the gasified gas generated by gasifying the solid fuel within the gasifying furnace and an oxidizer are supplied to an upper part (a central area A and an upper area B) of the combustion furnace 20 to burn the gasified gas in the upper part of the combustion furnace.
