PURPOSE: To increase the heat quantity used for evaporating the moisture of the clothes to be dried while the heater input is kept as it is.

CONSTITUTION: A circulation type clothes drier is provided with a heat recovering heat exchanger 25 heat-exchanging the cooling air heat-exchanged by a dehumidifying heat exchanger 21 with the circulating air heat-exchanged by the dehumidifying heat exchanger 21 at the circulation duct portion between the dehumidifying heat exchanger 21 for dehumidifying the high-humidity circulating air and an electric heater 14 for heating the dehumidified circulating air. The heat quantity transferred from the circulating air to the cooling air is transferred to the circulating air having passed the dehumidifying heat exchanger 21 via the heat exchange by the heat recovering heat exchanger 25, the heat quantity used for evaporating the moisture of the clothes is increased while the input of the electric heater 14 is kept as it is, and the drying efficiency is improved.
