Title:
CIRCULATOR FOR HIGH FREQUENCY AND ITS MANUFACTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3230673
Kind Code:
B
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent cracking or chipping in a high frequency circulator due to stresses applied form the outside in the manufacturing process of the circulator or the assembling process of an MIC(microwave integrated circuit).
SOLUTION: A high frequency circulator is constituted by laminating a laminated circulator body 8 composed of a GND layer 4, a ferrite 2, an insulating layer 6-1, and an SIG circuit 3 upon an insulating substrate 1. When the frequency of a transmitted electromagnetic wave is raised, the strength of the ferrite 2 becomes weaker in the circulator, because the interval between the SIG circuit 3-1 and GND layer 4-1 must be shortened. Therefore, cracking and chipping of the ferrite 2 formed in a thin layer can be prevented by relieving the stresses applied by external forces by means of the insulating substrate 1.
