PURPOSE: To prevent pulsation of the discharge pressure of fuel so as to stabilize loads that are exerted on a motor by making the center of a hole eccentric to that of an impeller according to the distance in diameter between the hole and the cross section of a rotary shaft, and making the center of an impeller coincide with that of the rotary shaft during rotation.

CONSTITUTION: At the pump portion of a circumferential flow type fuel pump for vehicles the center Q of the hole 42b of an impeller 42 is provided in such a manner as being eccentric to the center P of the impeller 42 by Δr in the direction of the chord of the hole 42b. The center P of the impeller 42 during rotation is thus made to almost coincide with the center O of a rotary shaft 3a and the range of variations in the size of a small space 6 formed when the impeller 42 rotates is reduced so as to restrain fluctuations in fuel pressure.
