Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a convenient city water pressurizing type fire-distinguishing pump which is capable of supplying water into its pump body as small as portable by a man and made up by attaching a pump actuating lever to the outside of the pump body.

CONSTITUTION: Bands 5 are stretched both laterally and vertically on a board 2 so as to be portable by hanging a body on shoulder of a man. Index No. 3 denotes a semi-cylindrical cover which forms a pump chamber R, wherein a movable plate 4 is rotatable provided around the center of a shaft 14. A lever 16 manually controlled by a man is attached to one end of the shaft 14. For usage of the device, a hose 9 from a water cock is connected to a water supply and the lever 16 is moved. When the lever is moved downward, water in a chamber A enters a chamber B through a valve 18 and when the lever is moved upward, the water is squeezed by the movable plate 4 and ejected from a nozzle not illustrated through a hose 11 from a water discharge port 7.
