Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a clad bar, which has a proper thin diffusion layer in its joined part, and a manufacture thereof.

CONSTITUTION: First, descaling is performed on the inner surface of a titan pipe and the outer surface of a copper round bar. Next, the copper round bar is inserted into the titan pipe to form a preform. Next, drawing is performed against the preform with the reduction of area of 10%. Next, the preform that is through with the drawing process is heated at 650 to 850° in a furnace. Then, inclined rolling is performed on the heated preform, and a clad bus bar is manufactured whose thickness of the diffusion layer generated on the joined face is 5μm or less.
