PURPOSE: To provide the titled lysine paint which easily adheres to the chalking surface of old coating films and forms a coating film having excellent appearance and weather resistance, by blending a colorant, an aggregate, a filler, water and a titanium coupling agent with a hydrosol of a finely divided resin.
CONSTITUTION: An emulsion polymer resulting from the copolymerization of polymerizable unsaturated monomers such as acrylic acid, styrene and vinyltoluene is neutralized with ammonia. A small amount of a hydrophilic solvent is added to the neutralized mixt. to obtain a hydrosol resin (A) having an average particle diameter of 0.05μ or below. 10W200pts.wt. colorant (B), 200W1,000pts.wt. aggregate (C) (e.g. river sand), 100W500pts.wt. filler (D) (e.g. calcium carbonate), 100W 600 pts.wt. water (E) and a titanium coupling agent (F) are mixed with 100pts.wt. (on a solids basis) hydrosol resin (A) in such a proportion as to give 0.1W10pts.wt. component (F) per 100pts.wt. combined amount of the components (B), (C) and (D), whereby the titled paint is obtd.
