Abstract:
To permanently envelop threads processed on a spindle, to which a torque from a crank is transmitted for linear movement of a jaw, in a watertight and airtight manner regardless of the jaw or spindle position, and on the other hand, to make an adjustment stroke of a jaw or a clamp jaw as large as possible in order to clamp plural work-pieces with a perfectly different configuration without requirement for time-consuming and complicated exchange means in a clamp device having a housing with a U-shaped cross section, a base jaw provided with female threads, and a drive spindle, in particular, a vise.SOLUTION: Clockwise or counterclockwise threads are processed on a spindle 9 in plural regions, each thread of the spindle 9 is enveloped by a cover sleeve 21, the sleeve 21 has clockwise and counterclockwise female threads which are drivably connected to each thread of the spindle 9, and clockwise and counterclockwise male threads, which are engaged with each female thread of a base jaw 11, are processed on the sleeve 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
