To prevent the accumulation of paint on a screw portion of a bolt and damage to the screw portion of the bolt.
The clamp device is provided with a base 11 having a pipe receiving portion 11a for receiving a pipe, at least one cover part 12 turnably mounted on the base, a bolt 20 and nut 30 for fixing the pipe held between the pipe receiving portion of the base and the cover part, and a protecting means for protecting an effective screw portion 25 of the bolt located between a front end 22 of the bolt and nut. The protecting means can be a nut which has a sufficient length to cover the effective screw portion, or a sleeve which is joined to the nut. Otherwise, it can be a cap which engages with the nut and has a sufficient length to cover the effective screw portion.
