Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamp device of simple structure allowing manual clamping and unclamping operations capable of suppressing the manufacturing cost and running cost, not requiring any piping or air pressure control device, and involving less variation of the clamping force.
SOLUTION: The clamp device is equipped with a plunger to be put in pin coupling with a clamp arm 3 to constitute a toggle mechanism, a spring 10 to energize the plunger in the retreating direction, a cam 9 to slide in a single piece with the plunger, and a lever 11 installed rotatably on the clamp body 1 and with a cam folloer 13 at the tip engaged with the cam, and in the condition that a locating pin 2 and the tip of the clamp arm are inserted through a hole 18a in work 18, the plunger is retreated by the spring, and thereby the clamp arm rotates in one direction to clamp the work, and the lever is rotated to push and move the plunger together with the cam arainst the action of the spring, and unclamping is generated by rotating the clamp arm in the opposite direction.
