The jig is provided with a support shaft 12 fitted in free derricking on a assembly work pedestal 11 for wire harness and a clamp holding part 13 fixed at the top end and capable of holding a clamp to be fitted to the wire harness. An end of a strip guard belt 18 in the vicinity of the clamp holding part 13 and the other end is extended toward the derricking direction of the support shaft 12, and at same time, is inserted into a penetration hole 11b formed on the work pedestal 11 in free moving in and out. This guard belt 18 is to be arranged over a whole area between the vicinity of the clamp holding part 13 and the work pedestal 11 both at orthostatic or turned down posture of the support shaft 12, to prevent hooking of wires.
