Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamp device capable of surely, safely and detachably attaching a medical device to a vertical pole located near the bedside of a patient.SOLUTION: A clamp device 10 has a housing 12, in which a part of a back plate 14 of the housing forms a raised grip 16 that extends from the housing. The rear of the back plate may have various mechanisms 19 for applying a load to the clamp device. Such mechanisms may include brackets, magnets, straps, suction cups, hooks, screws or bolts, friction fitting, etc. In the front part of the back plate, a groove 13 runs vertically down the center line. The load could be especially a medical device (such as an infusion pump or peristaltic infusion pump), an I.V. bag, etc.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
