Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact clamper including a rectilinear guide which shows a high holding force and is integrally formed with the rectilinear guide where rolling elements are rolled in an endless circulation.SOLUTION: This invention comprises: an orbital shaft 30; an outer cylinder 10 having a tapered surface 22 and inserted onto the orbital shaft 30; rolling bodies 4 for a clamp held between the tapered surface 22 of the outer cylinder 10 and the orbital shaft 30; a holder 40 for holding rolling bodies 4 for the clamp; a spring 60 for biasing the rolling bodies 4 in a direction where they are engaged with the tapered surfaces 22. Further, the holder 40 holds many guiding balls 2 along a circulating passage 50 in a limitless and circulating manner and the guiding balls 2 are rotatably arranged between a load ball running surface 3 arranged at the inner circumference of the outer cylinder 10 and the orbital shaft 30.
