To provide a clamping device capable of highly accurate machining by suppressing distortion generated in clamping a workpiece such as a thin thickness case having a thin thickness part, and obtaining the efficiency of mounting operation.
The clamping device is equipped with a pressing means which presses a side plate 8b of the thin thickness case 8 with a uniform force and clamps the thin thickness case 8 from both sides of the side plate 8b of the thin thickness case 8 and opposing position on a fixture plate 7 having the thin thickness case 8 to be placed. In the pressing means, a helical spring 10b which is internally inserted into a storage case 10a fitted to a cylindrical hole 11 provided on the fixture plate 7, and a crank pin which is firmly attached to the helical spring 10b made of a spherical pin 10c projecting from the fixture plate 7 are arranged so that the interval of the spherical pin 10c becomes smaller than the wall thickness of the side plate 8b of the thin thickness case 8 and the side plate 8b is clamped at both sides and the opposing position of the side plate 8b of the thin thickness case 8.
