Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a clamping device of a press which can be directly controlled by an electric signal and secure a large closing stroke.
CONSTITUTION: A magnetic device 13 for clamping composed of a permanent magnet 14, a release coil 15, a york 16, and an armature 17 is assembled between a fixed die and a movable die in a press which clamps a material 12 to be worked between the fixed die 3 and the movable die 1, drives punches 6, 7 and performs press working, at the time of clamping, the movable die is attracted to the fixed die by the magnetic attractive force of the permanent magnet to clamp the material to be worked at a working position and at the time of die opening, the release coil is excited to release the clamping state.
