Abstract:
To provide a clamping mechanism and a clamping method which are capable of improving a movable range between a pair of clamping members.SOLUTION: A clamping mechanism 100 of the present disclosure includes a columnar member 5, a first clamping member 6, and a second clamping member 7. The first clamping member 6 and the second clamping member 7 clamp a clamping target 2a. The columnar member 5 is orthogonal to the first clamping member 6 or the second clamping member 7, a left-hand spiral groove 51 is provided on an outer peripheral surface on one side, and a right-hand spiral groove 52 is provided on an outer peripheral surface on the other side. Then, the first clamping member 6 has a first engaging portion 61 that engages with the left-hand spiral groove 51 in a first direction when viewed from a central axis of the columnar member 5, and the second clamping member 7 has a second engaging portion 71 that engages with the right-hand spiral groove 52 in a second direction different from the first direction when viewed from the central axis of the columnar member 5. In addition, a distance between the first clamping member 6 and the second clamping member 7 is changed by rotating the columnar member 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
