To provide a clasp for a strand type necklace, which is easily removed by anybody.

The clasp 6 for the necklace is connected to one end of the strand type necklace 1 wherein multiple ornament members 2 such as pearls are made into a row. The clasp includes a pair of turning members 7, 8 to be freely turnable with a fulcrum as a center, and a spring arranged between the turning members. Circular arcuate parts 9, 10 are arranged at one ends of the turning members. The tip end parts of the respective circular arcuate parts are brought into contact by the actuation of the spring force of the spring. In this state, a ring is constituted by both the circular arcuate parts. One of the turning member is directly or indirectly connected to the necklace.
