To provide a clasp for a personal ornament, which has an appearance more excellent than conventional ones and does not easily cause slack of a core thread.

The clasp for the personal ornament comprises a holding body 12 for holding one end of the core thread 11 constituting the first decoration part 20 of the personal ornament, a housing and holding body 13 for housing and holding the holding body 12, and a cover body 14 covering the housing and holding body 13. On the housing holding body 13, a connection part 13f connected to a second decoration part 30 of the personal ornament is formed. The core thread 11 is not exposed, and the appearance of the personal ornament is improved. The slack of the core thread is not easily occurred.
