Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the erroneous insertion of image forming units by providing the above device with identification display means which change display contents according to the kinds of the image forming units to be put in and out in respective rotation positions and have the kinds and directions of the image forming units to be mounted identified.
SOLUTION: The image forming units ICs, etc., arranged in a toric form are supported at a frame 51 and are made rotationally movable around their axes. The device has the identification display means 52C, 52B, 53B, etc., which have a single insertion port 47 for putting the image forming units ICs, etc., into and out of the device by one piece each in the radial direction of the rotation according to the rotation position of the frame 51 and have the kinds and directions of the image forming units ICs, etc., to be mounted identified by changing the display contents in correspondence to the kinds of the image forming units ICs, etc,, to be put in and out in their respective rotation positions identified. Then, the units of which colors are necessitated to be inserted is made distinctly identifiable through the insertion port 47.
