PURPOSE: To secure strength of plate glass by reliably fixing the plate glass together in a four-side supporting shape as well as to facilitate assembling and maintenance by extremely facilitating fixation of a lateral sash bar member to a rafter member.
CONSTITUTION: A glass placing part 13 and two-stage water gathering grooves of upper and lower water gathering grooves 11 and 12 are arranged above a rafter member 1, and a fitting part 14 is arranged in an upper end part. Almost recumbent H-shaped cross-sectional embedding parts 22 and 23 in which edge parts of upper and lower plate glass G1 and G2 are embedded, are arranged above a lateral sash bar member 2, and an installing fitting part 24 is arranged in an end part, and they are fitted and joined to a the rafter member through this installing fitting part. In this fitted and joined condition, they are fixed to the rafter member by a wedge member 4, and a glass cover 3 is fitted in the fitting part 14, and a butt part of the plate glass is sealed.
