PURPOSE: To perform recovery with good efficiency, by providing a process for performing classification by dimension by a screening machine and a process for performing sorting by wt.

CONSTITUTION: A screening machine is constituted by providing rollers 2-1aW2-1c, a roller 2-1, a hopper 2-2 and a receiving box 2-3 in side-by-side relation and a final receiving box 6 is arranged under a final hopper 5 while a roller conveyor 7 is arranged to each receiving box. A wt. sorting process is constituted by successively arranging a No. 1 supply conveyor 8, No. 2 supply conveyor 9, a No. 3 supply conveyor 10, a wt. sorting machine 11 and a distribution conveyor 12 in parallel in a feed direction. The wt. sorting machine 11 determines a set value for every battery. The distribution conveyor 12 shakes off a dry battery not satisfying the set value on the basis of the classification order from the wt. sorting machine 11 by a flapper.
