PURPOSE: To provide the title apparatus to enhance the recovery efficiency and the classifying efficiency of fine powders of powders and particles by imparting a distributing and selecting action to powders and particles within a gas stream repeatedly.
CONSTITUTION: A classifying impeller 2 having a rotating outer peripheral surface with an inverted conical shape and an aerating element 7 with a slit like inflow port 12 directed to a lower side of a rotating direction of a wheel 2 are arranged at an upper portion within a barrel of a classifying machine main body 1 and a plenum chamber 8 communicated with a primary gas inlet 9 is formed between an element 7 and a wall surface 13 within a barrel of a main body 1. In a main body 1, a material supply port 6 communicated with an inner peripheral space 14 of an element 7 is opened to the lower side direction of the rotating direction of a wheel 2 and, in a lower portion of a main barrel body 1, a crude powder discharge port 5 exhausting classified crude powder side particles, a secondary gas inlet 10 for screening material transfered to a crude powder side by air and an air screening ring 11 arranged so as to communicated with an element 7 are arranged.
