PURPOSE: To continuously and easily perform the separation and recovery of a mixture, by supplying a mixture of powders showing different behaviors in an electric field into a charged rotary cylinder placed in an inclined horizontal state, and separating the same into two groups adhered and not adhered to the cylinder.

CONSTITUTION: A mixture 1 of a spherical metal powder 1A and a nonmetal oxide powder 1B is supplied into a cylinder 4 placed in a traverse direction in a slightly inclined state from a hopper 3. The cylinder 4 is charged and only the nonmetal oxide powder 1B is adhered to the inner wall of the cylinder 4. As the cylinder 4 is rotated, the powder 1B is raised and swept off in the upper part thereof by a brush 5 to be fallen onto an induction through 6 and received in a receiver 7B. On the other hand, the spherical metal powder 1A not adhered to the inner wall of the cylinder 4 is slid down as the cylinder 4 is rotated to be received in a receiver 7A.
