Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A clathrate complex including a glycidyl compound and composed of a glycidyl compound of formula I (R is H or methyl; X is OH, alkoxy, acyl, acyloxy, alkoxycarbonyl, cyano, alkylthio or halogen) and 1,1-bis(p- hydroxyphenyl)-cyclohexane of formula II.
EXAMPLE: A clathrating complex derived from glycidol and 1,1-bis(p-hydro xyphenyl)-cyclohexane.
USE: A clathrate compound for producing a glycidyl compound useful as a high- purity intermediate or a monomer for polymerization.
PREPARATION: The titled complex for clathrating glycidyl compound can be produced e.g. by directly mixing the compound of formula I with the compound of formula II.
