Abstract:
PURPOSE: To use a simple construction to prevent a cartridge chamber lid from being opened inadvertently and afflicting damage to film even with a camera user's improper operations of control members and camera vibration or even if the camera is dropped.
CONSTITUTION: This camera is provided with a locking member 26 which is moved to a first position when some of film feeding gear wheels 15 rotate in a direction for rewinding film and which is moved to a second position when the gear wheels rotate in a direction for advancing the film; and a cartridge chamber lid catch member 21 having a catch portion 21d which, when a cartridge chamber lid 20 is closed, enters the track of the locking member 26 and which when the locking member 26 is moved to the second position engages with the claw portion of the locking member 26 to inhibit the action of opening control members; some of the film feeding gear wheels 15 are rotated in the direction for advancing the film, whereby the locking member 26 engages with the cartridge chamber lid catch member, inhibiting the action of opening the control members.
