To facilitate cleaning work by eliminating the need for specific delivery of a tape-like cleaning medium, to prevent the neglect in operation, and to achieve the sure removal of attached dust etc. without entailing a fatal flaw in a ferrule.

The cleaner includes: a cradle 9 having a take-up shaft 7 taking up special paper 37 delivered from a delivery shaft 5 and a receiving face 39 opposing the rear face of special paper 37; a guide window 11 formed opposite to the receiving face 39 across the special paper 37; a holder 13 operable movably back and forth in the extension direction of the cradle 9; a holding section 15 for pressing the end face of the ferrule via the special paper 37 to the receiving face 39; a rotation conversion section 19 for converting the movement of the holder 13 from the movement position of the axial intermediate section of a linkage shaft 17 to the rotation of the linkage shaft 17 by linking the holder 13 and the linkage shaft 17; and a rotation transmission section 21 for transmitting the rotation of the linkage shaft 17 to the take-up shaft 7 to cause take-up shaft 7 to perform take-up rotation.
