To obtain a foamy detergent composition excellent in foaming properties, retention of foam, and quality thereof, good in removal of the foam when rinsed, without causing a slimy feeling after washed, capable of finishing refreshingly washing, without leaving a stiff feeling after dried, excellent in detergency on a makeup, sebum, and the like, and excellent in storage stability.

This foamy detergent composition is formed by mixing a 2-6C dihydric alcohol (component d) into a surfactant mixture in a specified ratio, wherein the surfactant mixture is obtained by together mixing a 12-22C fatty acid salt (component (a)), one or more kinds (component (b)) selected from a specified amidobetaine-type amphoteric surfactant, alkylaminodicarboxylic acid-type amphoteric surfactant, and amidoamino-type amphoteric surfactant, and a specified acylalkyltaurine salt-type anionic surfactant (component c) in a specified ratio. Further, a homopolymer of 2-(meth)acryloyloxyethylphosphorylcholine (PC) or a copolymer of the PC with a (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester (component e) is preferably mixed into the composition in a specified amount.
