To provide a cleaning apparatus which dissolves the problem that a conventional cleaning and sterilizing apparatus is heavy equipment and also requires severely carrying out maintenance, or that a conventional sterilizing apparatus is not suitable for sterilizing a medical instrument used for an operation.

The cleaning apparatus has a storage tank 10 having a pot part 12 in which the instrument to be cleaned is dipped and a heater 14 for heating is arranged, jet nozzles 20, 20 for jetting a cleaning water heated in the pot part 12 toward a supply and discharge means and the ceiling surface of a cover part 18, an ultrasonic transmitter 16 for ultrasonic cleaning, a pump for sending the cleaning liquid to the jet nozzles 20, 20 after the cleaning liquid, stored in the storage tank 10 so that a part of the instrument given the ultrasonic-wave cleaning is exposed, is heated in the pot part 12, and a control means for controlling the supply and discharge means so that a desired amount of the cleaning water using for each cleaning is stored in the storage tank 10.
