Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning blade configured to properly remove paper dust on an intermediate transfer belt, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A cleaning blade 21 comes into contact with a surface of an intermediate transfer belt, which conveys a recording sheet P to a transfer section, such as a secondary transfer roller, for transferring a toner image transferred from an image carrier, such as a photoreceptor, to the recording sheet P, to clean the surface of the intermediate transfer belt. A predetermined area including a tip ridge section 22c in contact with the intermediate transfer belt is impregnated with at least one of acrylic resin and methacrylic resin, so that the tip ridge section 22c of the cleaning blade has a Martens hardness of 2[N/mm] or more to 10[N/mm] or less.
