PURPOSE: To provide the subject device showing a small loss of the material fiber and a high cleaning performance by performing an action of discharging contaminants piled up at a space in downward direction of a cleaning grate with a transport air separated from the transport air current.
CONSTITUTION: This cleaning device for a fibrous material of a natural or synthetic fiber is provided by transporting fibrous flocks with a transport air current 17 to a feed box 2, separating the fibrous material from the transport air and discharging particles removed from the separated transformed air in a cleaning work through a space 11. The contaminants are conveyed through a duct 12. By closing a collecting chamber 9 for collecting the contaminants discharged from a cleaning grate 8 with a flap 10, etc., toward the space 11, the collecting chamber 9 is exhausted while stopping its operation.
