To provide a manual type cleaning device which can efficiently clean the external surfaces of a plurality of fixed sash windows being continuously arranged in the horizontal direction, has a simple structure, does not spoil the appearance of the windows, and saves the manufacturing and installation costs.

This cleaning device for fixed sash windows is equipped with a vertical pole (11) and a wider blade (14). In this case, the vertical pole (11) has an approximately equal length as the height of the sheets of glass (21a to 21h) which should be cleaned, and is held movably in the horizontal direction along the upper frame (22) and the lower frame (23) of a frame to which the sheets of glass are fixed by rollers (12, 13 and 130) being provided on the upper end and the lower end. The wiper blade (14) is attached over the approximately total length of the vertical pole, and wipes and cleans the external surfaces of the sheets of glass. In order to move the vertical pole (11) in the horizontal direction, the utilization of power such as an electric motor (41), or most simply, a manual operation is recommended.
