PURPOSE: To prevent the growth of a residual toner lump and to prevent a fault caused thereby by leading an eliminated toner which is apt to be stagnant on the face opposite to the cleaning surface of a cleaning blade, to a collecting means by a scraping member and a guide member.

CONSTITUTION: The title device is provided with a scraping member 6 for scraping a toner, a collecting means which is driven to rotate in order to collect an eliminated toner, and a guide member 7. The toner which is eliminated from a recording medium is apt to be stagnant on the face opposite to the cleaning surface 1a of an elastic blade 1, but scraped down effectively by the scraping member 6 which is attached to its part, and led to the collecting means along the guide plate 7. That is, the toner which is eliminated from the recording medium is guided to the collecting means without being stagnant on the face opposite to the cleaning surface of the elastic blade, and collected to a prescribed position. In such a way, a lump by the toner is not generated, and a fault caused thereby can be prevented.
