Abstract:
To clean a conveyance surface by using water and remove the water remaining on the conveyance surface by one web.SOLUTION: A cleaning device includes: a cleaning unit 61 which has a press roller 67 for pressing a web W, which removes ink adhering to a conveyance surface of a resist roller for conveying a sheet with ink discharged thereon, to the conveyance surface; a cooling part 140 which cools the press roller 67; a web drive mechanism which supplies an unused part of the web W to a nip area between the press roller 67 and the conveyance surface; and a control device by which the water remaining on the conveyance surface is removed by supplying the unused part with no water absorbed to the nip area by the web drive mechanism after the ink is removed from the conveyance surface by the unused part with the condensed moisture absorbed by making the press roller 67 condense moisture in the air by cooling the press roller 67 by the cooling part 140.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
