Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve efficiency in execution of work by a method wherein removers that rub the surface of an overflow weir are provided on a carrier that moves in shuttling along the overflow weir, and weeds stuck to the surface of the overflow weir are removed with it.
CONSTITUTION: Travelling rollers 14 are provided to a carrier 10 so that the carrier can travel on rolling on the surface (c) of an overflow weir 1. Sieves 17 are provided on the opposite ends of the weir 1, and a driving bar 18 is stretched between the sieves 17 with its middle part attached to a bracket 19 of the carrier 10. The sieves 17 are driven by a driving power source through a common shaft 21, and thereby the carrier 10 can be moved in shuttling. A first remover 26 for rubbing the inside bottom surface (a) and the inner side face of the weir 1, a second remover 28 for rubbing the surface (c) of the weir and a third remover 31 for rubbing the outside face (d) of the weir including a V notch 4 are provided on the carrier 10. Then, the carrier 10 is moved in shuttling with the bar 18 driven, and weeds stuck to the weir are removed with the removers 26, 28 and 31. Thereby, weed removing work can be mechanized, and the removal can be executed simply and certainly.
