The cleaning device of a spinning machine 1 is provided with a spindle portion 4 which can approach or separate from a spinning nozzle portion 3, a yarn passage disposed in the spindle portion 4, a nozzle 32 for jetting pressurized air into the yarn passage 27, and a closing member 53 which is disposed at a constant position in a fixed state and used for closing the exit 27a of the yarn passage 27 in a pressed state, when the spindle portion 4 is separated from the spinning nozzle portion 3. The spindle portion can be back-cleaned with the pressurized air, and an automatic cleaning treatment not needing man power can be achieved.
