To provide a new cleaning method for pyrolysis gas, capable of enhancing the capturing efficiency of tar, carbide or the like, and further avoiding clogging of a circulation pathway of cleaning liquid to improve the operation rate, and a device therefor.
In cleaning which is performed to effectively use pyrolysis gas obtained by pyrolytically decomposing a resin-based industrial waste or coal, tar or dust D contained in the pyrolysis gas is removed by bringing the pyrolysis gas (treatment object gas G) into contact with cleaning liquid L. The contact is performed to the cleaning liquid L set to different temperatures stepwise twice or more. According to this, tars differed in solidifying point can be removed from the pyrolysis gas stepwise. Thus, simultaneous solidification of various kinds of tars can be avoided to prevent clogging of the circulation pathway of the cleaning liquid L.
