PURPOSE: To effectively peel deposits, such as slime and to discharge these deposits to the outside of the system by moving the carriers made to exist in the hollow fiber membrane filter device at least by water flow.
CONSTITUTION: A top end 3 for module water collection having a module filter section 4 is mounted to an upper supporting plate 1 of a hollow fiber membrane filter column 1. A drain pipe 10 mounted with a net 11 for preventing the outflow of the carriers is provided right under the upper supporting plate 2. Raw water is passed by a pump 12 from a raw water inflow pipe 7 through a water sprinkling device 8 to this filter column 1. The raw water is passed in upward current from the lower supporting plate 6 and is partly filtered in the module filter section 4. This water is discharged as treated water from the top end for module water collection to a treated water pipe 9. The remaining raw water fluidizes and suspends the carriers by the upward current and is discharged from a discharge pipe 10. This operation is carried out intermittently or continuously. The fluidized and suspended carriers separate the slime and SS of the module filter section 4 and peel the slime of the filter column walls as well. The peeled slime and SS are discharged together with the raw water from a discharge pipe.
