The method is for cleaning the ink-jet print heads (34, 36) used for the ink-jet print mechanism (20). The method includes a step of making ink droplets adhered onto a print medium page (78) by making the selected nozzles of the print head (34, 36) inject the ink and then printing a selected image (80), and a step of cleaning the selected nozzles by making the injected cleaning ink droplets adhered onto the page (78).
