To provide a cleaning method of oil polluted soil capable of efficiently removing heavy oil and high concentration oil by performing multi-stage processing including agitation washing in oil polluted oil.
On the first process, the oil polluted soil is fed into an agitation apparatus 3 (for example, a pan type or pug mill type mixer) having a rotary blade, is mixed with water and is agitated by the rotary blade. On the succeeding process, slurry formed by mixing and agitating the oil polluted soil and water is transferred from the agitation apparatus to a vibration apparatus 4 and, by applying vibrations, is screened into the water containing fine particles to which the oil is attached and coarse particles. Thereupon, shower water is sprayed to the slurry and, at the same time, drainage is performed. On the subsequent process, the coarse particles screened from the vibration apparatus is transferred to a rinsing apparatus 5 (for example, a spiral classifier), clean water is supplied and the oil is floated up from the surface of the coarse particles. Thereupon, the shower water is sprayed to the coarse particles and, at the same time, drainage is performed.
